John Marselle

John Marselle is chief executive officer of Robbins-Gioia, LLC, a leading international provider of project and program management services with headquarters in Alexandria, Va. John was appointed to his current position in 2007. Notably, he had served on Robbins-Gioia’s board of directors since 2004. John is committed to continuing and increasing Robbins-Gioia’s stature as the preeminent authority and provider of program management services through growing market share, developing staff, and improving competitiveness.
Before joining Robbins-Gioia, John had a long and distinguished career with Sun Microsystems. At Sun, John served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sun Microsystems Federal, where he led the organization’s government division. He also served as Vice President of the Americas, Sun’s largest operating unit, with revenues of approximately $10 billion.
John holds numerous awards for his work with the federal government, including the FOSE and Federal 100 awards. Additionally, John is very active in the Washington, D.C.-area philanthropic community—serving as chairman of the board of directors for the United Services Organization (USO) of Metropolitan Washington and previously as board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. There, John received the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Corporation Leadership Award for bringing innovative technology forward to aid in the search for missing children.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Salisbury University.
