The United States Customs Service Implemented a Multimillion Dollar Modernization

U.S. Customs was facing a multiyear, multimillion dollar modernization program and had been cited by GAO as lacking an adequate project management process and enterprise architecture scheme. Congress was skeptical that the ambitious goals of the program could be achieved, and the project's funding was in jeopardy.

Robbins-Gioia partnered with executives at Customs to implement a project management office, establish solid requirements for the project, and implement a rigorous acquisition and control process.

RESULT: Against the odds, Customs saved its funding and successfully modernized its operations.
