Robbins-Gioia Receives ANAD’s 2004 Partner of the Year Award
January 10, 2005, Alexandria, VA-Robbins-Gioia, LLC, the premier provider
of program management services, was selected as the Anniston (Alabama) Army Depot’s (ANAD)
2004 Partner of the Year among 120 competing companies at the recent community partners
appreciation luncheon. ANAD’s Directorate of Community and Family Activities hosted the
event at the ANAD Community Activity Center, Bynum, Ala., where Depot Commander Colonel
Alexander Raulerson presented the award. In addition, Robbins-Gioia received a 2004
Community Partner Award, which was also given to the partners present.
Robbins-Gioia, who has provided program management services to ANAD for 10 years,
has long been active in the community. Specifically, the company was recognized as a
key sponsor for the ANAD Army Emergency Relief Campaign’s golf tournament last June
and the Making Tracks 5K run, an annual event hosted by ANAD’s Morale, Welfare and
Recreation Division, held last February.
Robbins-Gioia is also a corporate member of the local Chamber of Commerce and its
security-military affairs committee and co-founder of the new Anniston area satellite
chapter of the Redstone-Huntsville, Ala., chapter of the Association of United States
Army. AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization that supports the U.S.
Army—active duty, National Guard, reserve, civilians, retirees, and family members.
Robbins-Gioia employees supported the new satellite chapter last fall with a fundraising
and membership drive and the first annual AUSA charity golf tournament at the Cider Ridge
golf course in Oxford, Ala.

About the Anniston Army Depot
The Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is the only Army depot capable of performing maintenance
on heavy and light-tracked combat vehicles and their components. The depot is designated
as the Center of Technical Excellence for the M1 Abrams tank and candidate depot for the
repair of the M60, AVLB, M728, and M88 combat vehicles. ANAD has assumed responsibility
for the towed and self-propelled artillery as well as the M113 family of vehicles. Under
partnership agreements a wide range of vehicle conversions and upgrades are currently
