Robbins-Gioia Secures Verizon Contract Extension Robbins-Gioia To Provide Strategic Planning and Conflict Resolution to the Pentagon Renovation Project January 31, 2002, Alexandria, Virginia— Robbins-Gioia, LLC, the leading provider of project management services, today announced an $450,000 extension of its work for Verizon, one of the world's leading providers of communications services, in support of the Washington Interagency Telecommunications Services 2001 contract for voice, video, and data. The extension includes a new position to support the Verizon Pentagon Renovation (PENREN) project. The extension goes through the end of 2002. Robbins-Gioia has provided program management support to Verizon Federal over the past three years. WITS2001 is Verizon's largest and most complex government contract, valued at up to $1.4 billion over a term of four years plus four one-year options. As well as Robbins-Gioia, WITS2001 team members include industry-recognized leaders in various specialty areas of the telecommunications industry. The WITS2001 team recently received a "Very Good" Customer Care Index rating from its principal customer, the General Services Administration. James T. Glowacki, Verizon program manager, WITS2001, credited the successful rating largely to the Robbins-Gioia team, which includes an operations manager; senior program analyst; and a new position, principal program analyst. "On numerous occasions, I have received compliments of high regard from the customer on Robbins-Gioia's work and dedication to our Integrated Product Team process, and overall contract performance," said Glowacki. "In fact, Robbins-Gioia has created over fifty processes that are used daily in the execution of the WITS2001 contract. Glowacki added that an R-G senior program analyst "… is highly regarded as well by both the customer and the program team. Many Verizon employees not familiar with the WITS2001 contract come to him for assistance and information." Although the new position was initially intended to provide a master schedule for the program, the need for program support in other areas was much greater than originally anticipated. The new role has expanded to provide strategic planning and conflict resolution, among other functions. "In addition to providing specific functions, it is equally important to build a successful relationship in order to enhance the efficiency of the PENREN team," said a member of the team. "We look forward to continuing our support of Verizon and the crucial services it provides to the federal government," said Kent French, Robbins-Gioia telecommunications managing director. "We are there to ensure that they are more successful through the quality and effective program support we provide wherever needed." About Robbins-Gioia, LLC About Verizon
