Robbins-Gioia Appoints Marie O’Brien as President, Intelligence Community Business Unit

March 5, 2007, Alexandria, VA—Robbins-Gioia, LLC, the leading provider of program management services, today announces the appointment of Marie O’Brien as president of its newly created Intelligence Community Division. O’Brien brings more than 20 years of industry leadership in leading-edge technologies, systems, and applications for the Federal government and Fortune 500 companies.

“The time is right—the intelligence community must continue to address the lack of integration and interoperability issues that can hinder vital communication,” said O’Brien, speaking about the need for her new division. “Our goal is to use program management to help these agencies align their strategic objectives to achieve a common platform and vision.”

Before coming to Robbins-Gioia, O’Brien worked briefly for ePOK, Inc., a startup software company in the information-sharing environment. She came to ePOK from Sun Microsystems, Inc., a $13 billion global supplier of network computing solutions, where she was vice president for government sales. Over her 15-year career there, she held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, and commercial and emerging markets. Before Sun, she worked in the IBM-compatible mainframe industry.

“The leadership skills Marie brings add incredible value to our Intelligence Community Division,” said John Marselle, Robbins-Gioia CEO. “And by leveraging our quarter-century of PM expertise, I am confident that she and her team will build a strong foundation for successful partnerships within the intelligence community.”
