Robbins-Gioia Appoints John Marselle Chief Executive Officer

today announces the appointment of John Marselle as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A recognized industry
leader and advocate for the strategic use of information technology to gain competitive advantage, Marselle
will focus on driving continued growth and profitability of Robbins-Gioia.

Marselle will leverage his 27 years of technology and business leadership experience to guide Robbins-Gioia
to even greater success – focusing efforts on deepening the company’s foothold in commercial markets including

A member of Robbins-Gioia’s board of directors, Marselle joins the company from Sun Microsystems where he led
the organization’s government division. Earlier in his career at Sun, Marselle served as vice president of
the Americas, Sun’s largest operating unit, with 5,000 employees and revenues of approximately $10 billion,
and was recognized with the Sun Microsystems Vice President’s Leadership Award. Marselle was also the president
of Sun Microsystems Federal, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun, from 1992 to 1998.
Marselle holds numerous awards for his work with the Federal government, including the FOSE Award and a Federal
100 Award. Additionally, Marselle is very active in the Washington, D.C.-area philanthropic community – serving
as chairman of the board of directors for the United Services Organization (USO) of Metropolitan Washington and
sitting on the board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Honored for this work, Marselle
received the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Corporation Leadership Award for bringing
innovative technology forward to aid in the search for missing children.
Marselle’s appointment underscores an already noteworthy year for Robbins-Gioia in which the company celebrated its
25th anniversary, expanded its footprint in banking, and was awarded a more than $100M blanket purchase agreement
from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
